CLEARWATERS is glad to receive news releases that are pertinent to our readers. Please send releases to the editor. We do not print press releases that promote a single product. We are glad to receive photos with press releases.
Nearly every article suitable for CLEARWATERS benefits from technical illustrations and photographs. The preferred format for photos is the actual hard copy of the photograph rather than an electronic file. If you must submit a file, however, please use a bit-mapped format such as .tif with a density of at least 300 dots per inch (dpi).
Line art such as that used for charts or schematics should be submitted in the same fashion. Please do not use very light line weights or tiny lettering on drawings because they do not reproduce well in hardcopy and render the drawing unusable for the Web.
To test to see if your drawing is usable on the Web, check that your drawing is readable on a monitor's screen at 72 dpi with a maximum width of 430 pixels.
