Service on an Association committee is a privilege and opportunity. It provides for a meaningful contribution, a training in leadership/development roles, and a point of contact with other professionals in the field.

Awards - Coordinates all Association and Federation Awards Prepares Awards booklet

Energy/Research - Provide an open dialogue and exchange of technical information among members.

Environmental Science - Committee Promotes environmental scientist programs and activities

Exhibits - Solicits and manages exhibits for the winter meeting

Government Affairs - Committee Designs and implements relations and education in the affairs of government Coordinates legislative Forum

Hall of Fame -

Humanitarian Assistance - Coordination and promotion of Humanitarian Assistance activities within the organization

Industrial and Wastewater - Promotes programs and activities related to industrial and hazardous waste interests

Member Education -

Membership - Carries Out membership promotional activities

Pretreatment Coordinators - Develops a statewide clearinghouse capable of information/guidance dissemination

Program - Develops technical program for Winter and Spring meetings.

Public Education - initiates and carries Out public information activities

Publications -Oversees content and publication of Clearwaters

Residuals and Biosolids - Develop, recommend and assist in conducting programs to optimize the management of residuals and biosolids from the treatment of municipal and industrial wastewater

Safety - Encourages and supports effective safety programs

Scholarship - Promotes and encourages students to enter the environmental profession

Sponsor- Solicits sponsors for the winter and spring meetings

Spring Meeting Conference Management - Coordinates all hotel-associated meeting logistics for the Spring Meeting

Student - Establishes liaison with educational institutions for growth of student chapters

Sustainability - Provides guidance to NYWEA members on issues of Sustainability and help to recognize worthy achievements in this area

Wastewater Collection System - Develops training and education programs for collection systems

Wastewater Facilities - Promotes effective plant operations and maintenance through workshops, seminars and awards

Watershed - Created to respond to the increasing importance of watershed protection and nonpoint source water quality sustainment

Young Professional - Foster participation and increase opportunities for young proesssionals in the organization.
