Alan Natter of White Plains, NY Receives
New York Water Environment Association (NYWEA) Award

(Syracuse, NY) Alan Natter of White Plains, NY is the recipient of the Board of Directors Service Award from the New York Water Environment Association (NYWEA). The NYWEA is a statewide nonprofit organization of water quality management professionals with 2,100 members and seven regional chapters. The award, which recognizes outstanding service on the NYWEA’s state board, was formally announced during the organization’s annual meeting held recently in New York City.

Natter has served as the Metropolitan Chapter’s representative on the NYWEA board from 1998 to 2001. Previously, he served on the NYWEA Metropolitan Chapter Board of Directors, and was co-chairman of the association’s State Program Committee from 1993 to 1998. Natter has been employed with the consulting engineering firm of Hazen and Sawyer since 1974, and currently is a vice president at its New York City headquarters. He is involved with many diverse projects including: the Paedergat Basin Combined Sewer Overflow Storage facility; the Croton Water Treatment Plant for New York City; the Mamaroneck Wastewater Treatment Plant Biological Nitrogen Removal Demonstration Program for Westchester County; and the Aeration Tank Covers Project at the Bay Park Sewage Treatment Plant for Nassau County.

Natter resides in White Plains with his wife, Evelyn.
