Why Join NYWEA Met Chapter

All NYWEA members living or working in the five boroughs of New York City can join the Metropolitan (Met) Chapter, the largest chapter of NYWEA.  The Met Chapter is a very active organization.  Check our schedule in the Events link to see the large number of events we host.

Benefits

Most events, dinners, lectures and seminars organized by the Met Chapter offer a discount or are free to members.  Chapter members can find numerous opportunities to advance the needs of our profession and network with other professionals in the wastewater/water field.  The various committees are open to all Chapter members.  There is much to gain by being a member of the Met Chapter, both personally and professionally.  For young members and students it is a great opportunity to learn about our profession and make lasting connections.  The Met Chapter has consistently won the NYWEA award for most new members.

How Can I Join

You need to be a member of NYWEA in order to join the Metropolitan Chapter.  To join NYWEA, visit the NYWEA membership page. NYWEA is a member association of the Water Environment Federation (WEF).  You can choose to be an Active member of both organizations and receive publications from both WEF and NYWEA. There also are lower cost options for students, operators, and retired members.  Your corporation or company can also have a Corporate membership.  NYWEA members who live or work within New York City’s five boroughs are eligible for membership in the Metropolitan Chapter.  Please make sure you include “Met Chapter” as your Primary Chapter on the application form. Click here for NYWEA’s membership page.
